Board of Directors

Meet our 2023-2024 Board of Directors! Learn more about FACL BC's structure, mission, and committees here

President

Fiona Wong (she/her) is an employment lawyer at Overholt Law LLP. When she is not working or volunteering for FACL, she enjoys trying new restaurants, planning her next trip, and reminiscing about her past days as a flight attendant.

Vice-President External

Sebastian Chern (he/him) is an associate at Howard Employment Law. Sebastian is proudly Taiwanese and is always on the hunt for the best beef noodle soup in Vancouver (he still strongly believes his mom's is the best).

Vice-President Internal

Jim Wu (he/him) is a lawyer at Forte Workplace Law. When he is not putting out fires for issues arising from hiring and firing and everything in between, he divides his time cooking, singing karaoke and having a good workout on the Brazilian jiu-jitsu mats.

Vice-President Marketing

Jenny Huang (she/her) is an associate at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. She has scaled a cliff in Iceland, auditioned for the Great Canadian Baking Show and appeared in a superhero TV show, but one of the above is a lie. Join one of Jenny’s “Write On” journaling sessions for the truth!

Treasurer

Daniel Szeto (he/him) currently works at Norton Rose Fulbright in the Charities & Tax-Exempt Organizations group following a brief stint as an accountant prior to entering the legal profession. He was previously an Executive Coordinator for FACL BC from 2020 to 2022.

Advisory Director

Steven Ngo (he/him) works as Sr. Counsel for Rivian and was named one of Canada's Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers. Outside of law, Steven engages in various ventures, which include hosting a podcast on fatherhood, learning languages and BBQ'ing.

Director-at-Large

Director-at-Large
