FACL BC presents: Trauma-Informed Lawyering with Myrna McCallum: Working with Asian Communities, sponsored by Moore Edgar Lyster LLP.

Join FACL BC for this educational session on Trauma-Informed Lawyering provided by Myrna McCallum from Miyo Pimatisiwin Legal Services, host of “The Trauma-Informed Lawyer” Podcast. "Trauma-informed lawyering is a do-no-further-harm, relational approach to the practice of law which benefits you, your clients, your colleagues and the legal profession generally."

This session will cover what trauma is, trauma-informed client-engagement, cultural humility, and vicarious trauma and resilience. It will include some content that is tailored to the Asian legal community. 

It is directed at lawyers, legal advocates, articling students, and law students, and is relevant to all practice areas.

Registration is free and open to FACL BC members. Pre-registration is required. This event will be eligible for 2 CPD credits. Please note that this event will use the Zoom meeting format.
